Welcome to Internship Indonesia

Why would You like to come to Indonesia?

2012-04-17
Some of our applicants explain their motivation to come to Indonesia in just few words, others write deep essays. Some probably even copy and paste their texts, while some take us to a wonderful trip through their lives, experience and the true desire to come to this magic country. Its amazing to get to know you at this very first step of your journey.

With a three digit number of received applications already this year, we would like to share some of those great thoughts with you - and also inspire you to look for your reasons to participate in our program. If you have already applied, or perhaps already realised your dreams and wishes by coming to Indonesia - thank you for your sincere, personal and powerful words.

For those still undecided about your motivation, here is some highlights for your to think about:

“As we are the sum of our decisions, use the pressure to create diamonds of your life. If it feels right I'll run with it and if I miss the moment I'll make a new one. I'm passionate and creative and i rarely do things by half. Coz if it's worth my time, it's worth my effort. I try to have no regrets and look forward as much as possible. But the most important things to me are my friends, family and helping others!” - Sebastian from the United Kingdom

“Last year while traveling I fell in love with Asia. I spent six and a half months starting in Japan, making my way through China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and finishing off in India. I realized early on that I did not have enough time to go everywhere, and Indonesia was somewhere I missed but very much want to go back and see. I want the opportunity to be back in Asia with more of a home base to meet people and learn more about local culture that isn't as easy to do when traveling through a place. I plan on applying to a teaching program next spring and think this is the perfect way to gain experience while getting to be back in such an amazing place with amazing people.” - Joanna from Canada

“Our existence is just about the sharing. Sharing our knowledge, experience, love and friendship. Making our life easier to care and easier to communicate. Hope that I can share my experience and love to the country of Indonesia and be a part of you for a while.” - Tamar from Georgia.

“I am extremely driven and motivated to discover a completely new culture and become immersed in it, at the same time able to help others and increase my personal skills. This opportunity in Indonesia looks like the ideal place where I can use my already wide base of promotional skills and event planning to help build international awareness and gain some HR experience. I dream of gaining such human skills as I would if I were to go to Indonesia, a place considered one of the most beautiful in the world and feel I would thrive in such an environment! This chance in Indonesia would really test my skills and capabilities, providing a challenge and teaching me vital life lessons.” - Tara from the United Kingdom

“I have always been fascinated with Indonesia for several reasons: it has one of the fastest growing economies in Southeast Asia, it has very low unemployment rate, its GDP has been growing at healthy rate even during the global recession, and unlike many industrialized nations, Indonesia maintains a trade surplus. All of these are an indication that Indonesia is a rising star that the world can no longer afford to overlook. I'd like to be a part of this momentum by being on the ground and obtain firsthand experience of working with hard and determined Indonesians. I feel that this will present a tremendous challenge as well as growth opportunity for me, both professionally and personally.” - Sonya from the United States

“I would love to be given the opportunity to go to Indonesia because of it's beautiful scenery. I understand that because Indonesia is made up of thousands of Islands it's landscape is diverse, tranquil and unique. I would also like to visit Indonesia because I love experiencing different cultures and religions. I am aware that Indonesia is a county which is culturally diverse and completing an internship there would allow me to learn a lot of about other people. Indonesia is also of great appeal to me because of the exotic wildlife, tasty food and the friendly people.” Hanah from Scotland
